Membership Auto-Renewal Policy
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: All memberships are for a pre-paid annual membership term. Your membership will automatically renew at the end of each year for another 12-month period. You agree that we may automatically renew your membership and charge your credit card on the one year renewal date, unless you cancel your membership before that date. The American Addiction Treatment Association (AATA) will automatically renew your membership each year until you cancel the membership or AATA no longer offers membership service. Benefits are extended to a primary member for the state in which you are licensed.
NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: You will receive email notification approximately 30 days prior to your renewal date. The notice will inform you that your current membership term is about to end and the renewal date your subscription will be renewed and your account charged. Emails regarding your membership will be sent to your last email of record. To cancel your membership without your credit card being charged for the renewal year, you must do so before the renewal date. Please keep a record of your membership date and the next renewal date. You are solely responsible for timely canceling of your membership regardless of whether you receive notification emails from AATA.
PAYMENT: The renewal payment will automatically be charged to the same credit card that you used for your original membership or most recent renewal. Membership rates dues rates in effect at the time of the automatic renewal will be applied. Please call us at 888-958-2282 or email: email@example.com before the renewal date for any changes to your email, account or billing information. In order to ensure continuation of your membership, credit card numbers need to be updated if they change or expire in a timely manner. You may change or update the credit card registered for automatic renewal at any time by visiting the Manage Profile area on www.aata.io and clicking on Invoices. The automatic renewal is authorized as a payment by the member to AATA from their credit, debit or bank card. Any automatic recurring payment method or renewal authorization will remain in effect until withdrawn by member or terminated by provider. All fees paid and charges made prior to member’s proper termination are nonrefundable.
HOW TO CANCEL AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: Members can cancel participation in the Automatic Annual Renewal Program at any time by calling 888-958-2282 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. The cancellation will be applied to any future charges, and will not affect the benefits of any dues paid for the current year.
CANCELLATION: You can cancel your membership at any time. Please note that you must cancel your membership before it renews in order to avoid being charged for the following year’s membership. If you cancel your membership, the cancellation will be made effective at the end of your membership term.
REFUNDS: Refunds will not be provided for any membership. AATA does not provide credit, refunds or prorated billing for memberships canceled mid-term. In such situations, you will continue to have access to your membership until it expires. AATA reserves the right to offer discounts, refunds, or other courtesy in select circumstances at its sole discretion. Please note that each occurrence is unique and determination to make such an offer in one instance does not create the obligation to do so in another.
MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION: AATA reserves the right to terminate any membership at its sole and absolute discretion, at which time all membership benefits will be canceled. Such termination shall be without prejudice to the accrued rights and remedies of AATA.
Other Disclaimers and Cancellations
PHOTO/VIDEO DISCLAIMER: The American Addiction Treatment Association (AATA) reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by AATA, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. AATA may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by AATA including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.
Any person attending an AATA event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and contact AATA in writing of his/her intentions (email@example.com). By participating in an AATA event or by failing to notify AATA, in writing, your desire not to have your photograph or video used by AATA, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify AATA from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
EVENT CANCELLATION: AATA reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If AATA cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, AATA has the right to either issue a full refund or allocate registration to the same event at the new, future date. AATA bears no responsibility for any other costs incurred (such as flights, accommodation, travel expenses or loss of income).
Should you be unable to attend an event for which you have registered, a substitute representative is welcome to attend in your stead so long as AATA has been notified in writing and in advance of the event.
If you cancel your registration for an event, all cancellations must be received at least 5 business days before the start of the event and registration refunds are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be made by calling 888-958-2282 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. No refunds will be provided to registrants who do not cancel or do not attend the event. Registrants who do not attend or cancel will not be eligible to receive seminar materials.
MATERIAL CANCELLATION: Downloadable products and subscriptions are not eligible for refunds unless product is defective or unable to download.
